Introduction
Ticket Podu ("we", "our", or "us") helps travellers set reminders for IRCTC, SETC, KSRTC, and other ticket booking windows. The app also offers daily booking alerts, full-screen trip alarms, a festival calendar, a home-screen widget, an in-app notification inbox, and optional Ticket Podu Pro access (via Google Play, friend invites, or promo codes). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you use the Ticket Podu mobile app.
Information we collect
Account information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your display name, email address, and profile photo through Firebase Authentication.
Reminder data: Trip details you save — trip name, travel date, booking type (IRCTC, SETC, KSRTC, Tatkal, or Custom), and alert preferences — are stored so your reminders sync across sessions and devices.
Subscription and reward data: If you purchase Ticket Podu Pro, redeem a promo code, or earn Pro through a friend invite, we store Pro status, plan or reward type, and expiry linked to your account. Payment and card details for Play purchases are handled by Google Play, not Ticket Podu.
Invite and promo data: We store your personal invite code, successful invite counts, referral or promo claim records, and related anti-abuse identifiers so rewards can be granted fairly.
Notification and alarm data: We schedule local notifications and phone alarms on your device. An in-app inbox may keep recent alerts locally. Daily-alert preferences and theme settings are stored on your device.
Device data: Basic technical info (app version, sync timestamps) to deliver notifications, update the home-screen widget, and keep the app reliable.
How we use your information
We use your data to sign you in, store and sync reminders, verify Pro subscriptions and reward grants, schedule notifications and phone alarms, update the home-screen widget, run invite and promo programs, and improve reliability. We do not sell your personal information or use it for third-party advertising.
Permissions
Depending on your device, Ticket Podu may ask for notification permission, exact alarm / reminders access, and battery or autostart settings so alerts and alarms can fire reliably. You can change these in device settings. Denying some permissions may limit reminders, daily alerts, or alarms.
Third-party services
We use Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions) for sign-in, data sync, and invite/promo rewards. Pro purchases go through Google Play Billing. When you open IRCTC, SETC, or other official booking sites or apps from Ticket Podu, those services follow their own privacy practices. Sharing an invite may use your device's system share sheet.
Data retention
Reminder data is kept while your account is active. You can delete individual reminders in the Mine tab anytime.
When Pro ends and you have more than 3 reminders, only your 3 earliest (by date added) are kept; extras are removed automatically with their scheduled alerts.
Subscription, referral, and promo records may be retained to manage entitlements, restore purchases, and prevent reward abuse. Local inbox items and preferences may remain on your device until cleared, signed out, deleted, or uninstalled.
Your choices
Sign out from your profile anytime. Revoke notification and related permissions in device settings. Turn daily booking alerts on or off in the app. Manage or cancel paid Pro in Google Play → Subscriptions.
Delete individual reminders in the Mine tab anytime. To delete your entire account, use Profile → Delete my account in the app, or see our Delete account & data page.
Delete your account
Deleting your account removes your Firebase account, reminders, subscription data, invite/promo entitlement data tied to the account, and local app data. Limited anti-abuse records may be retained where needed to prevent repeated reward farming. Cancel any active Google Play subscription separately in Google Play → Subscriptions.
Children's privacy
Ticket Podu is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
